Life as a Journey.

I feel like we spend most of our lives trying to get somewhere. Usually, I am more excited about the somewhere than about being where I am.  And I think that’s why I love the Latin culture, there isn’t pressure to do, do, do, but you can just be.

So for now, I will just be. Be in Guatemala City, sitting on a couch in the hostal, waiting for dinner, anticipating the trip to Antigua this weekend, and just enjoying the moment. I have been nervous about this trip for a while, and within minutes of being off the plane, I felt I was back in my element. My spanish was a bit rusty, but I’ll shake off the dust, and immerse myself in the experience of being here and doing what I have wanted to do for years. So, here is to life and the grand journey that awaits over the next couple of months.
